Pantene Ultimate BB Creme for hair

Let me first begin with a brief description of what kind of hair I have. It's naturally dark, dark brown (almost black) but I've highlighted it for years. My highlighting varied from completely blonde to streaks to peek-a-boo to ombré and now it's just kind of highlighted in the front half of my head about half way down. Long story short, my hair is very dry and damaged from, ONE the bleaching and TWO and more importantly, from a do-it-at-home hair "relaxer" I had done about 2 and a half years ago.

I had originally thought this "relaxer" was just a hair mask but I was very mistaken. After having it on for about 5 mins I realized my mistake and immediately washed it out...but alas, it was too late. It left my hair so damaged to the point that it was falling out and breaking apart. Because of this I had to get my hair cut into a short bob, twice! Which was horrifying!! And even now it is not fully recovered and I've searched high and low for some kind of miracle product that doesn't exist.

Having said that though, I do have to say that the Pantene ProV BB Creme is a little bit of a miracle in itself...

It claims to do 10 things at once:
1. Repair rough hair
2. Strength against damage
3. Silky softness
4. Brilliant shine
5. Smoothing
6. Moisture
7. Frizz control
8. Heat protection
9. Manageability
10. Tame fly-always

I have to say that I am really impressed with this and use it frequently! I usually apply it to my damp hair (but it can be used on dry also) and I find it helps with my natural curly frizziness, it smoothes and make my hair feel really soft - I hope it helps with damage although I know it can never be truly reversed.

The creme doesn't make my hair feel greasy or heavy which is great! I don't apply it to my roots cause I naturally have oily roots but very dry ends. I don't need to use a lot, usually one pump coats my hair nicely and am satisfied with the end results!

Benefit They're Real! Mascara

Okay.. So, I had heard some of the hype about this mascara but didn't really pay much attention to it since it's a little on the pricy side AND I'm not one to switch my mascaras a lot. But when Shoppers Drug Mart had a 20x the points promotion on, I figured I'd pick it up and try it out.

So...WOW! It's not very often I find a mascara that I'm over the top impressed with, but this one did it. The wand is plastic and spikey which I find grabs my lashes really well. It lengthens at first then you get more volume with a second application. Plus it has a spikey ball at the end which is good for those small little lashes! This I like since I prefer my lashes to be as bold and black as possible.

Also, the wear time on this mascara is scary! It's almost like a waterproof mascara that won't smudge or flake all day! That's another plus that kind of justifies the price.

I'd say I have average length eyelashes. Not abnormally long or thick - but I like to make them look that way...I think this does the job :)

Overall: I really like Benefit's products and am happy that I can add this mascara to my makeup collection as one that I would repurchase! I am thoroughly pleased with this and would highly recommend it.

Hmm...Where to begin..

My name is Lillian but you can call me Lilly if you like. I am 20 years old from Ottawa, ON, Canada and don't know what to do with my life.
So I've decided to start this blog so I can record my thoughts on things I find interesting.

Maybe I'll find others who share my passions and hopefully find a niche for myself somewhere in this great big world!
So welcome! Let's be friends

A little about me, but mostly my cats:

I've had three pet cats in my life so far :) unfortunately two have left us in the past couple years, Tina and Flloyd..but my calico fluff ball Diamond remains! On the cusp of 16 human years old (approx. 75 in cat years) Diamond is still prowling around like cats do. I love her and she hates me but we make it work ;)

Beautiful Tina was my first cat at age 5 followed shortly by Diamond. She was the cuddliest and most loving cat in the world. After 14 years together she disappeared and sadly never returned. It was heartbreaking but inevitable as she was getting old and fragile. I miss her everyday <3

We adopted him from a neighbour who couldn't take him with them when they moved and what a great decision that was! Known as the "Yoda" of the neighbourhood cats, Flloyd was so calm, gentle and snuggly and gave us love like it was going out of style! He disappeared not too long after Tina but was also a senior cat, so maybe it was just their time. I love them all and am happy to have had the time we were given with them.

Anyway.. I love my cats and all cats for that matter and it seems the Internet does too since the amount of cat memes, youtube videos and cat Facebook pages basically dominate the web! LOL!

I'll also be posting about beauty and makeup products along with travel stuff and other things that catch my eye, so stick around :)
